That fire. Back and forth. More strokes. Take away some. Add more yellow. Too much yellow. Then more white…so many times. Probably over 100 times, aiming for the perfect fire with flames, but not overtake the painting with it. I finally got it!! I liked it. I was able to walk away. But then it hit me. This concept: So many times we are critical with our shortcomings and try to aim for perfection. Yes, we can be objective and clearly see our imperfections, but after all of that, there should be acceptance. Accepting our whole selves for who we are and focusing on our good parts. Working on ourselves selves takes a lifetime, let’s enjoy the process by looking in the mirror and enjoying what we’ve actually got.
