"Be beautiful on the inside and the outside will radiate with beauty"
I can't help but think of this while painting the dancers. I painted them on the "inside" - on the back. This offers tremendous depth and insures protection. The stokes came about in a random and expressive manner. I then edged them with gold. This added to the depth and completed the feel. I fell in love with the richness instantly but felt like it could use a bit more character, and so I carved out faces from the back.
There are two holes on opposite sides for hanging with standoffs, and it measures 8" x 10"
