A painting that speaks a thousand words. That’s a good way to start. I can write about this painting for hours. There is so much here.
This painting was truly a divine experience.
I wanted to paint a few scenes prior to starting the painting. Every time I paint, I put down an initial layer, filled with color, done at random. A completely subconscious process. I began painting and was fully immersed in the colors, filling up the whole canvas, leaving no white spots.
When I was done, I put down the brush to let that first layer dry. I walked away. When I came back they were staring at me in the face. I saw them both. A mother and child!! With one candle there in the middle.
I was floored. I was so blown away, I posted it on Instagram, so everyone could see exactly where the mother was and where the child was.
All I did next, was bring them out more, so that it was even more clear and added another candle.
And there it was. A Mothers Prayer. Praying for her family, her children. With her child right near her. The child has short hair signifying a girl or boy.
