I wanted to paint a painting of Yerushalayim that depicts her depth and pure gold. I used a very limited neutral palette and added gold to the outer part of the painting, framing Yerushalayim.
The painting does not photograph well and as much as we tried by taking 100 or more images, the light kept bouncing off the gold, creating a reflection that mutes out the proper colors seen in person.
It’s a real beauty. Like jewelry for the wall.
