“What’s meant to be will always find a way” This painting started of with a splash of iridescent pearl white and then some curls of gold. I turned my back to fill up on some more paint and when I laid eyes on the canvas I saw it. Yitzchak and Rivka. It was in that week's parasha, (and no, it’s not a coincidence - It was on my mind and we focus on what’s in our heads). I went with it! There is symbolism here with the colors. The female and male energy is as different as black and white. There is much play with that as you can see. There is also gold leaf in the middle, symbolizing that when a couple brings together their unique colors and sync their energy as a team, as one, they create magic.

When we feel we want to give up, normally that’s the point when if we just go one step further, it all comes together. G-d just really wants us, He wants to hear us, and when we can’t anymore, He kicks in. It’s all in our HOPE and prayer. I remember once sleep training my baby and it was murderous (obviously) I gave myself a few cries and then I went into his room to sooth him. One night he cried and I didn’t go, but I wanted to so badly! I stood by his door and was thinking - just cry one more time. If you cry, I’ll come in and hug you! It was literally at that moment that I realized how we have to cry to Hashem. He is right there on the other side of the door, waiting for us, so badly. So don’t give up hope, just pray. HOPE IS A SILVER LINING.

My favorite part about the week is without a doubt, Friday night. When the candles are lit, the kitchen smells heavenly, and the entire house is at peace...when we can sit and reflect without any distractions of our phone & technology - just connect and talk. It’s really special and it definitely infuses an energy for the entire week ahead. Thank G-d for Shabbos!

We can’t always choose the music life plays for us, but we can choose how we DANCE to it!! This painting started off as bursts of color - the background that I use while painting mosaic dancers. I normally paint strokes and the dancers make their way onto the canvas, stroke by stroke. This time, I stroked on the dancers first, and put it aside to dry. When I turned around & reached out to continue painting it, I totally saw it! The entire vision of this painting flashed before me, and I stopped, contemplated a bit, and went for it! I painted strokes on top of the background but didn’t cover it, since the contrast felt magnetic as the dancers appear majestic, almost lofty.

I was compelled to add this Musician into the series, simply due to the expression on his face. It seemed to be so innocent and extremely complex at the same time. He seems to be lost yet full of deep thought. The balance of the two sides...it never ceases to amaze me.

This is a scene on erevShabbos. Those people in the background are walking, running to catch the bus, and are all getting ready for Shabbos. The musician is relaxed... They always manage to be just so. It's so great. His energy got to me.

Music is the entrance way to the soul. The musician is unassuming, just singing while everyone else seem to be on their way. The train is in the background, rushing past. But, little does the musician know just what a difference he is making. I know. I remember him. He uplifts the entire atmosphere and mood. May we be more like him.

The colors here couldn't be ignored! I could not wait to lay them all onto the canvas. The mood of this painting is very cheerful and bright. I felt happy painting it and my goal is to have that same feeling transmitted into you as well. Be inspired! I heard a great quote that stays with me every day, and it says: " We live every day, and die once" This painting reminds me of just that! LIVE TODAY & BE HAPPY

The colors, composition, subject, and mood. It’s one of the coolest pieces of artwork I’ve done to date! It’s a shame the camera doesn’t capture it’s sheer magnitude!

Where the Music Happens came about in the early days of painting. It was at that time where I pushed boundaries to try and discover the first hidden layer of what was readily trying to burst through. And I found this. It came after a few tries, but when I see this painting, I am reminded not to give up. This masterpiece happened due to that exactly. I tried, and tried, and tried again. When it was finally complete, the music that the musicians are playing, was almost heard off the canvas!

This painting is my living inspired - The Alef Bet are falling down, out of the luchot and into our hearts. It’s sometimes hard to grasp and live inspired, with the daily grind...but we try the best we can. They represent the mitzvot and so much depth in the Torah. Shavuot renews that for us, and for the rest of the year we can get back to those highest heights. Thank G-d for the holiday and for the AlefBet... PS: my favorite part is the shadow on the top of the mountain...what’s yours?
