I know a painting is ready to face the world when I can sense it dancing with life. My painting rules are simple: It should never look stark, should avoid being overly messy, and must embody a touch of poetry. I paint with movement and color because the world always needs more of both. My goal is to create pieces that are bright, joyful, and inspiring—adding vibrancy to life. Through the layers and depth in my work, I hope to inspire viewers to explore their own inner selves and hear their unique voices. I want people to understand that what truly matters is not what lies on the surface, but what is within. I hope that as viewers engage with my art, they come to realize that, at our core, we are all similar and interconnected. Just as colors blend together to create masterpieces, we too must come together to form a unified whole
My favorite time to paint is at night, when the world feels serene and still. I grab my brushes, paints, and turn up the music, finding myself fully immersed in the process. As long as I have these essentials—brushes, paints, and some water—I can paint just about anywhere. I started in my children’s playroom, then moved to the laundry room, and eventually upgraded to a studio. However, I’ve come to realize that I thrive when painting late at night, which is why working at home has become ideal for me. We’ve now set aside a dedicated room in our home just for painting. When I enter this space, everything on my mind either fades away or fuels my next brushstroke. It’s a sanctuary where I find peace and connect with my higher self. Here, I observe and explore humanity in tandem, navigating a space that balances safety with risk. It’s a place where pushing boundaries leads me into the unknown, revealing the richness of both our inner and outer worlds.
In my art, I make many mistakes. As a perfectionist, I used to be frustrated by them, striving for exactness and often ending up with lifeless paintings. However, I discovered that embracing these imperfections could breathe new life into my work. This shift led me to deliberately leave flaws in my paintings, which brought me contentment and a deeper understanding of art. I now see art as a reflection of life’s imperfections. Just as we strive for perfection but often fall short, viewing these flaws from a distance can reveal unexpected beauty. I hope my paintings capture this essence and offer insight into the true beauty of life.
At the end of every day, when I lay my brushes down, my hope is that the strokes I’ve created reflect my journey of discovery, and that ultimately, we get to explore this journey, together.
Mission and Values
My mission in life and with art is really one and the same. I simply want to add beauty and depth to the world. If we can strip life down to its essence, isn’t life all about finding, creating, and giving meaning to every moment? That’s what keeps the embers burning inside me, that desire to create meaning through colors and brushes. And while I’ve done just that, I’ve come to understand that life is not perfect, but it is beautiful.
Authenticity. Be real. Stay truthful to your inner world and you will radiate from within.
Gratitude. Say thank you to the people in your life who help you grow. Most of all, be grateful to Hashem for every day.
Courage. Go outside of your comfort zone and see your confidence blossom. Always take the road that will challenge your status quo.
Perseverance. Keep trying. Get up every day and aim to succeed.
Joy. Appreciate life’s pleasures. Find spaces to dance.
Beauty. Enjoy beautiful things, appreciate that Hashem created his world for our pleasure.
Spirituality. Find a medium that touches your soul and access it often.
Abundance. Think big. There is always more if Hashem wills it. With this in mind, be generous.
