This Kotel landscape was very intricate and the picture was so full of detail that it was overwhelming to me at first. I painted what I saw and then tied it all together with intuition and my own interpretation of the scene. Once it sang back to me, I knew it was complete. If there was ever a lesson from a painting, it would be to simply trust our gut.
This watercolor artwork is 12" x 16". It is painted on Arches 100% cotton watercolor paper.
It was created using a limited color palette from Daniel Smith extra fine watercolors, as was the entire collection.
